Joanne Heyman’s work is well-known for achieving sustainable and measurable success. 

Ms. Heyman has experience leading various organizations and advising the leadership teams of creative institutions, foundations, media companies, non-profits, and social enterprises. She was the founding Executive Director of the Urban Zen Foundation. She also served as the Executive Director of The International Center in New York, Vice President of the Corporation of Yaddo, and Managing Director of the Financial Services Volunteer Corps. Additionally, she worked as a senior advisor to The Goldman Sachs Foundation and the American Jewish World Service.

Ms. Heyman fosters healthy, thriving cultures for individuals and teams.

Ms. Heyman serves as the Chair of the Board of Directors of The GroundTruth Project/Report for America. She is a Chief Guide, a presenting expert in the Kahilla community and platform, and a coach in multiple national programs supporting local media leaders and institutions. Additionally, Ms. Heyman is a regular Columbia University lecturer and a Forbes contributor

After completing her Bachelor of Arts in Comparative Literature from Smith College, she obtained her Master of Arts degree from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs. She currently resides with her family outside of New York City, and is an avid yogi, cook, and outdoor enthusiast.
