Reducing Inflammation Levels During Pregnancy

 

The Mediterranean diet has been linked to reducing inflammation levels in people who are not pregnant. This study wanted to explore if this anti-inflammatory effect would also benefit women during pregnancy. The results of the study were promising; women who followed a Mediterranean diet had fewer pregnancy-related complications, including preterm birth and gestational diabetes.
